Yes... Kane, one of the most sought after strikers in world football, will hopefully be fit.

My old mother is peed off because she can't have her annual flutter on the Grand National.

Regarding 'panic buying', she confirms that my sister has been unable to get certain things for her as the shelves are empty.

Different generation - vastly different attitude HHTel!

To be honest our local Tesco and Asda don't seem to be effected anything like we've seen of other stores on the news.....

My gut tells me they will postpone it....?

Without wishing to denigrate the intelligence of the average professional footballer, this was, much to my surprise, mildly entertaining. Of course, it helps if you're a multi-millionaire. And don't expect to see anyone putting in extra time on their Open University studies...

I particularly enjoyed the Milner and Wright efforts!

You got a link for that?
Earlier today I read a report from a member of the IOC stating just that but then the Vice-President of the IOC said it was news to her and they were still looking at proposals.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Japanese government announced a month-long consultation over other “scenarios” but sources told Reuters a final decision will be taken in the coming days.

A formal postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics appeared closer on Tuesday after it emerged that the Japanese prime minister was set to thrash out the future of the event with Japanese organisers and their counterparts in the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Tokyo 2020: Olympic Games organisers 'agree postponement'

The organisers of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, due to begin on 24 July, have agreed to a one-year postponement of the event because of the global coronavirus pandemic.

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said the International Olympic Committee had agreed to the delay.

"I proposed to postpone for a year and [IOC] president Thomas Bach responded with 100% agreement," he said.

A one-year delay would also apply to the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Prime Minister Abe added: "This will make it possible for athletes to play in the best condition, and will make the event a safe and secure one for spectators."

The agreement comes as the British Olympic Association (BOA) was meeting on Tuesday to discuss the matter.

BOA chairman Hugh Robertson had already said Great Britain was unlikely to send a team to Tokyo this summer.

Sounds like a face-saving exercise for the Japanese PM to me. It was glaringly obvious it wouldn't go ahead, but they allowed him to make it sound like it was his idea. Eventually.

I read somewhere today that the lower English leagues are going to have all results expunged which I think means there was no season and no one goes up, and no one goes down.

I guess BB that means Plymouth Argyle has to do it all over again next year before promotion. Bad luck.

Disappointing if true, but sensible.

Strange they can be doing some, nut not all. What is the point of continuing with higher leagues apart from Liverpool winning it? If lower leagues are dead, there'll be no relegation. I'd say give it to Liverpool, and scrap the lot.
