New bus service Hua Hin - Don Mueang
New bus service Hua Hin - Don Mueang
Found this today, it appears to be a new bus service to and from Don Mueang (but not directly the airport).
Departs Hua Hin Soi 51 every 30 minutes from 05.40 to last bus at 18.20.
Stops at Don Mueang railway station opposite the airport.
Departs Don Mueang every 30 minutes from 06.20 to last bus at 19.00.
Leaves from minivan stop at Future Park Rangsit (not the airport).
Cost 200 baht.
Does not appear to have online booking, only contact number is 090-1380427.
Above is what I've translated from here: https://huahin.town/transportation/huah ... g-airport/
Best to go to the station at Soi 51 and find out exactly where it stops/departs at the other end if intending to use this service. Any new info and experiences please post below.

Re: New bus service Hua Hin - Don Mueang
That is brilliant news. I make a point of avoiding Don Mueng because of the difficulty getting to and from.
Looks like a short taxi ride to Future Park, although getting a taxi took me an hour last time I came through Don Mueng.

Looks like one of those new "minibuses" brought in to replace the vans. They also run to various Bangkok points, such as Ekamai.

Re: New bus service Hua Hin - Don Mueang
Pity there's no online booking - we use Don Mueang if and travelling to/from Chongqing with MIL. Always a bit of a nightmare with budget airlines and transport to/from the airport itself - this could help though.

Vans and minibuses arrive and leave soi 51 very frequently. Booking is probably not normally required.

The bus in the picture has following stops (reading left to right): Pranburi (as a guess from part word), Din Daeng, Lad Phraw, Don Meuang, Future (presumably Future Park Rangsit).buksida wrote:

Re: New bus service Hua Hin - Don Mueang
I tried this connection yesterday when I arrived in Don Mueang. I took a taxi to the van terminal in Rangsit. The taxi driver said there is no bus to Hua Hin. So I called the number on the website and the lady confirmed that there is a bus to Hua Hin and I need to buy a ticket at counter 27. The taxi was 160 baht, not cheaper than a taxi to the Mochit Minbus Terminal or Sombattours. The frequency of 30 minutes is not true, as I expected. I had to wait 95 minutes for 17 of the 20 seats to be filled before the bus started. The legroom is not greater than in a minibus and there is also no space for luggage. So the only advantage is that it is safer to travel on a larger bus. My first choice will be Sombattours if it fits with the flight times, especially if I'm going from Hua Hin to Don Mueang as the bus stops in Mochit right at the A1 bus stop that goes directly to the airport for 30 baht.

The bus stop is not Pranburi, but Petchaburi. It goes to clock tower at Hua Hin.

I took that minibus at market village, it was horrible! Normal
Minivan with air con that couldn't keep up, and took 5 hours to reach don Muang. He drops you off at a bridge that requires a long walk rather than dropping you at the bridge that goes directly into the airport. The Sombat tour bus is the best for heading to DMK!
