Good points, well spotted!Gregjam wrote:As a slight aside and probably why people find this interesting. Although I have not played for a long time I cannot recall ever carrying a bag here. Even in Thanarat the bag was carried from the car and back to the car by a caddie. On the rare occasion I played a round abroad I used either a trolley or a cart. I would guess that the caddies here would find a left handed bag confusing.
I still prefer it as I carry my bag from condo to car and occasionally around the club if go practice etc
Yes, when arriving at the golf courses almost all caddies can't get their heads round the LH straps, although theyre not going far with it, just to their trolleys. But they end up carrying it the wrong way around. Which rather suggests to me they've never seen a LH bag before!
FWIW....in order to make life easy in this regard trust me I have tried to get used to a RH bag.... and failed miserably!
Off topic, in all the 500+ times I've played golf in Thai I've not once seen a caddie carry a bag on the course! And by that I mean a pencil bag with 6 or 7 clubs in it, just like I use in UK again LH. They probably don't realise just how light they are and how delightful it is to walk directly where you want to go with your clubs(I hate trollies!)
I'll make a point of asking my caddie about this tomorrow.
I have however seen a few golfers carry their own bag but only at Royal Hua Hin, some sort of special category member I believe??
Right I'm now off to the 'fix everything' shop to try to repair my golf bag(on Railway road, close to railway crossing at Soi 70).
