I’ve thought long and hard about how to answer this question. Sadly, after 70 years, I haven’t really accomplished anything.

i don't think we can take credit for waking up, unless you mean in the spiritual sense.

My main achievement was being shot at over 200 times and survived.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

One of my favourite Churchill quotes is: 'Nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result'
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...

I am content with my life's work, could have done more, prefer to keep it close to my chest. Worked into my 70s and felt guilty when I quit. Became financialy "Comfortable" but NEVER forgot my working class roots.

There are times when my greatest accomplishment is just keeping my mouth shut (or at least my fingers away from the keyboard).... I hope to better myself in the New Year!

[EDIT] Apologies - Not trying to belittle the thread (see above  ), obviously have not yet settled in Thailand, but it's certainly an area of the world I truly enjoy. I'm sure things will change (worldwide) by the time I'm able to enjoy retirement, but hopefully not so much for the worse....
