I didn't know that it started out that way. I've been getting take-aways for the last year or so and it's definitely menu-driven with table service plus 'all you can eat' buffet.

Sorry you were disappointed, Stitch. I think you are the first I've heard complain about the food. My take-away food has always been piping hot and the beer I have whilst waiting is always cold!

I've taken to getting my take-away at Mr. Mon's since 112 is closed. Took some green chicken curry which I've bought from him before trying 112. The consensus in my house was that they'd forgotten what it was like and all said that 112 is much better.
I must admit that getting it from Mr. Mons so soon after taking it from 112 made a much clearer comparison.

Anyhow, let's see what the 'new' Corner 12 is like.

Yes, they opened a few days ago. It opened with a big fanfare - they turned the open/closed sign to 'open'. As far as I know, no promotion, no advertising etc etc. A small fortune has been spent on the rebuild and it's still empty. I live a couple of mins away and pass it every day and even we (the locals) didn't know it was open.
Something is seriously lacking in their marketing.

It looks good from the outside so they need to do something to get punters into the inside - once in and with good food/service, word will soon get around

The menu in Manee Bar has a 'food closed' notice across it so I guess the menu is different. I'm going to make a point of calling in tonight to view the menu. I'll report back later.

As I've said before, the biggest downside is parking. As you can see from the pic, the kerb outside is red/white. The closest parking is around the corner in Soi 1 but that is usually taken by 7/11 customers and Manee's customers.

As promised, I visited the restaurant last night. In fact I had a takeaway of pizzas and green curry.
Matching the outside, it's very nice inside, fully closed in with aircon. As I've already said, the seating area is huge enabling around 100 custmers.

The menu looks good. I can't print it out here as I'd probably be accused of having shares in the company.

I'll list the sections:

Salads and Starters
Seafood
Thai Food
Italian (pastas and pizzas)
Australian Beef
New Zealand Steak
BBQ
Desserts

The prices are up but that was to be expected and they were very cheap before.
Of the main differences. The Korean BBQ (cooked under a lamp at the table) has gone.

They have a special running through Friday and Saturday which is somewhat different to the norm:

"Serving an authentic Brazilian churrasco by an expert Brazilian chef, the rodizio style features several cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and grilled pineapple served continuously at the table. Portions are unlimited and a salad bar is included for a fixed price"

Basically an 'eat as much as you want' option.

The staff hasn't changed.
