Checking the price tag before buying!

Post by HHTel »

I visited Villa yesterday to buy some 'essentials'. I picked up a cauliflower while I was there.
Anyhow, my wife said to me this morning "You paid 500 baht for a cauliflower?"
"Nah", I said. "I couldn't be that stupid".
Sure enough, the price ticket showed 500 baht. 'Organically grown and imported from Australia'.
It didn't seem any different to the ones I get in the market for a fraction of the price.

12 pounds 85 (UK) for a cauliflower!! Only myself to blame. Lesson learned.

Not really. I started calculating how much each mouthful was.
There must be people who buy this stuff on purpose!!! Unbelievable.

Well I hope you enjoyed it because that’s one expensive cauliflower - a market or Makro equivalent (non-organic) would have been a tenth of the price.

Mrs migrant did something similar with blueberries. When I pointed out the cost per berry she wasn't enjoying them as much.
