Went to Doriego (Soi 70, opposite the school) the other day and my wife and I had an excellent meal. Absolutely faultless and good value.
On the negative side, I had a guest recently who (due to health issues) requested an air conditioned restaurant.
We went to the Intercontinental, and would you believe it, this 5 star hotel did not have an air conditioned restaurant open !
Also recently went to S&P (Opposite Market village), and ordered a Thai green chicken curry.
I sent it back and told the chef that sliced boiled chicken breast tossed into a mild green sauce is not the way to do it.
Totally tasteless.
If you live near Hin Lek Fai, try Sci Fa on Soi Mon Mai. Very good Thai and international food
