I have a 3BB internet connection which is OK, but when I watch UK TV the VPN connection often drops. As I am using ExpressVPN, which is supposed to one of the best, I am assuming this is because of the internet connection dropping rather than the VPN.
So I am thinking of going for a fibre connection, which, if my assumpion is correct, should mean the problem is resolved.
Does anybody have an experience/knowledge of this?

I use Express VPN with TOT fibre, and whilst I do get the occasional freeze, I’d say it is 95%+ okderek60 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 28, 2018 11:19 am I have a 3BB internet connection which is OK, but when I watch UK TV the VPN connection often drops. Re: Fibre/VPN
I have 3BB fibre and most of the time it's as good as it should be, only a couple of slight glitches over the 18 months I've had it. I do have to re-boot the router equipment a couple of times a month to clear the static though. I use 'Hola' as my VPN and find it quite adequate when streaming the news channels from UK.

Hi PET, simplicity is the word.
When the internet slows down it's normally down to your own equipment. Easy cure is to unplug the 2 elements of the internet supply......... the router and the smaller fibre box for about 30 seconds. Plug back in and you're good to go.

I have three connections at the rear of the router, one to the internet, another to the computer and the third the power supply. I do not see a smaller fibre box and the router is new from 3BB- just in case we have a different modelrobcar wrote: ↑Fri Dec 28, 2018 2:12 pm Hi PET, simplicity is the word.

Re: Fibre/VPN
Just disconnect the power supply and wait for 30 seconds then re-connect. All should be good to go when it auto-reconnects
