I’d pick up a dark haired companion, take her the gala dinner, which probably is included in the cost of your stay at the intercontinental, then watch the fireworks from the beach at midnight. After that you can wander unto town and join the fun.
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!
