My 11 year old daughter needs some friends
Hi ourselves and our 11 year old daughter have recently moved to Hua Hin got a house in Soi 6, we are looking to find her a few little friends she can go play with and socialise with, she’s a little social creature and hasn’t been in thailand for a month now and I think she’s getting a little lonely. Can we get some advice on clubs she’s mad on football I mean she should of been a boy mad! Any body have any kids that want to meet up with her of her age she’s got her own mobile number so they can have a chat before meeting up. Parents there of course for a little while, thanks
Tom and Karina

I run a small karate club, which has varying numbers of children, aged 7 to 14 of all nationalities. She is welcome to join the group on a Monday and/or Friday from 7 until 9. 1st lesson is free, and absolutely no pressure to come back a second time.
Details can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21316
and here: https://www.facebook.com/wadokaratehuahin/
Kumite (fighting) is not a feature of the Monday or Friday sessions, but has many other benefits for both children and adults. Many children benefit from the social side of the club.
If you'd like more details, please feel free to phone me any time (but not when England are playing tonight ) - 0983 055964.

Re: My 11 year old daughter needs some friends
I have a grandson who's just had his 10th birthday. He's come to HH from Nongkaam. He's been here for around a month and so far hasn't made any friends. He'd love to give your club a try.
So is it okay for him (with me and his mother) to just turn up tomorrow (Monday) so he can give it a try.
Cheers
I assume you still live with your dad!

Sorry, just realised I haven't answered the OP but I didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Yes, just bring him along. Dress just needs to be loose clothing (T-shirt and shorts) for now.HHTel wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 3:50 pm I have a grandson who's just had his 10th birthday. I can confirm that the WADO karate club is a great club with great sensei as well. It's very much like a small family with a great bunch of kids as well. I have not been able to take my oldest daughter for quite a while now due to a number of reasons, but I am hoping that will all change this coming week, starting on Friday.
Tom and Karina, if you think your daughter might enjoy trying her hand at karate, then perhaps you can take her on Friday evening, in which case she will almost certainly be able to meet my oldest daughter. If they connect, they can exchange numbers and etc and then take it from there. I have three girls, aged 7, 11, one which is one week away from 13.
Where about in Soi 6 are you? We are up towards Emerald Hill and etc.
@ Nereus..............Until you can tell me where exactly the elusive Soi 4 sign is, I shall continue to call our road Soi 6, although to be honest, a more fitting name would be Soi Stray Dog, or Soi of a Thousand Dogs.

Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact

Was it you that knocked the sign off the post in front of the Family Mart shop?
The post is still there, but the sign pointing to Soi 4 is gone. It is strange. My GPS reads Soi 6 from Petchkasem Rd up until I cross the bridge, then turn towards the Temple and it reads: "driving on road".
(ps, I will be there tomorrow for a few days if you are going to be around)
Doesn't mention any dogs though.

Re: My 11 year old daughter needs some friends
Check out the 2 touch soccer, ( they have a facebook page) they play on a football pitch in Soi 6. It's run by a nice guy called Francis. I am not sure which age group they go up to, but It might be suitable for your daughter.
There is also a kids football accedemy at Dusit, as well as Black Mountain.
We live in Soi 6 , but my daughter is only 4 years old. Although she is full of energy, if your girl would like a younger friend

My daughter is also 11 years old.
How can she get in touch with your daughter?
My daughter will probably join the Karate at Wado.

Re: My 11 year old daughter needs some friends
She is welcome to come any Monday or Friday and join in for her free trial lesson. She will just join in with everybody else. We know karate isn't for everybody, and if she doesn't like it, she can finish at any time - nobody will think bad of her. Actually coming through the dojo door is the hardest part.Gerard Mosselman wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 11:16 am My daughter will probably join the Karate at Wado.
