Bottas tastes victory for the first time, and Hamilton finishes off the podium which is strange for him. Raikkonen had the fastest lap.

Lindosfan had the best race with 13 points. The top three remain Pitsch, Pete and Bsdk1960.

Next up is Spain on May 14, Good luck to all. :thumb: Pete

Correction to above: Pitsch also had 13 points for the Russia race, but they put Lindosfan as winning the week. I'm not quite sure how they figured that out with the type of points available. It seems they placed the highest value on the Pos BP as the deciding factor. In any event, congratulations to Pitsch as well. :thumb: Pete

If you can overlook the rubbish around it there is some interesting facts here about F1 drivers. It is not up to date as Nico Rosberg is still listed as being a driver:

Hamilton claws out a win, an all around exciting race. When have we seen Sauber in the top 10, this race they came in 8 and 11. Something seems wrong with Williams this year, and the next two races or so should prove or disprove it.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/39914357

Low scoring for our pool given that Bottas, Verstappen and Raikkonen all retired. I have yet to read up on the Verstappen vs Raikkonen accident and why it happened.

Pharvey had the best race with 12 points and the top three are now Pitsch, Pete and Pharvey

Oh, the poor little boy, my heart bleeds for him! I think that I will start a go fund me account to try and help him out. Maybe he can then pay for some friends.

Lewis Hamilton fears Formula One will make him ‘boring as f...’

https://thewest.com.au/entertainment/ce ... b88478853z

Lewis Hamilton thinks Formula One has tried to make him boring.

The 32-year-old star has moaned he can’t live the sort of lifestyle he craves because the sport demands that he presents a flawless image of himself.

“You have to be a square and fit into a box and the shape is boring as f...,” Lewis, who has dated pop star Nicole Scherzinger, said.

“Now I feel I was robbed of being able to grow naturally.
“I didn’t get to hang out with my friends. It was always racing, always business, always serious.”

But the Formula One ace, who counts the likes of Drake and Kanye West among his closest friends, insists he will continue to pursue his passions away from the sport, which includes his love of making music.

“I want to experience everything,” Lewis said.
“If I can be in the studio with Jay-Z, with Pharrell [Williams], am I going to do it? S... yeah.”

Earlier this year, Lewis revealed he plans to make a biopic of his life.
The champion driver hopes to produce and star in the movie because he is the best qualified person for the role.
“I would probably play myself,” Lewis said.
“I have not seen an actor that looks like me or that I’d particularly want to represent me.”

The Brit also revealed the screenplay would focus on his rags-to-riches story, which led him to become a three-time world champion.
“My story is about coming from humble ,” Lewis said.
“I am probably the last of a dying breed because pretty much every other driver I’m racing with has come from wealth.

“It will be really telling a family story about where we’ve come from, how we did it as a family, the sacrifices my family made and the trials and tribulations we came across along the way.”
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!

This is the race that gives me the biggest headache each year. Hard to predict anything except perhaps who is on pole will win barring any misjudgement and wall kissing  , beyond that who knows with that circuit. FYI, Button is starting last after getting a 15 position grid penalty for a power unit change. Stroll wrecked his car. Not surprising being his first time at Monaco. Pete

Q2 OUT...UGGGGH!

11) Kvyat 12) Hulkenberg 13) Magnussen 14) Hamilton 15) Massa

Just what Lewis Hamilton did not want.

Stoffel Vandoorne is into the barrier, the yellow flags are waved and everyone has to abort their laps meaning Hamilton goes out.

The Briton shakes his head. "That's me out, right?"

"Yep, sorry Lewis."

EDIT: I'm not changing my picks. Still have Hamilton as 3rd. Let's see if he has some magic in his kit tomorrow. A lot to ask though. :banghead:
