Nobody has ever done this as far as I'm aware, so we thought we'd give it a go ...

Great video Buksida, these are the bits that visitors don't see. Thanks.
I'm sure there were times when you and your friends could have made this kayak trip by road.

Those particular kayaks (purple and yellow ones) are Feel Free Nomads. As with many things here, they are expensive in Thailand at approx 20k.

You can get cheaper locally made ones like the blue and white one which cost around 12k.

The blue and white one is mine. 13,500 from a shop in Prachuap. They are made in Tha Yang and available there also. I'm fair size, 6 foot and 230 lbs, and it works well for me, I'm pleased with it . On our trip the ocean was fairly rough, but no problems. Price included paddle and a first class seat and delivery to Bang Saphan. Was told if ever a problem they would fix for free, but there was no written guarentee so.......

The place I bought mine had two seaters also. Mrs M doesn't swim so she would newer get on one.

The shop is on Phetkasem rd in front of the Prachuap Tesco. You will see boats, and kayaks, standing up.
