Recommend a free drawing software package

Post by StevePIraq »

Guys,
I previously used AutoCAD for producing technical drawings but no longer have this as it was on a company computer. Can anyone recommend a free software package mainly for use on electrical schematics, layouts and some architectural designs, nothing overly complex.

Thanks in advance.

I have downloaded Sketchup but it has no library and take me days to draw and save symbols if that is even possible, so sadly not really suitable for my needs.

Are you sure this is the correct web site as I do not find any way to get it to work all I get is a software informer and trending apps

I am assuming that you are familiar with torrenting.........if so this may be what you are looking for

http://glodls.to/autodesk-autocad-2017- ... 41266.html

It may require a VPN, if that's the case then d/l Hola

I will check it. It is quite a while since I have used it and that was in Australia. It was on windows based software. I currently use all Apple IOS. My wife's work computer runs windows so will check it and let you know.

Well now I have TinyCad on my computer and it cannot be removed, there is no uninstall app and the files continually state "in Use by another application"

Clicking direct download takes me to a load of adverts, do I select something else?
I have tried to download CAD from numerous torrents however the KeyGen never seems to work, maybe because I am using Windows 10, who knows.

I have dowloaded and removed the program twice on windows 10 without any issues. The sequence I used is as follows:-
Ensure all programs are closed
R/click on windows emblem on lower LHS of screen.
Go to "Programs and Features"
Scroll down to TinyCAD and R/click.
Select Uninstall
It will then ask "Are you sure you want to completely remove TinyCAD 2.60.01 and all of its components?"
L/click yes
You will then be advised of successful removal

SteveP. Close the page that it opens and you will see that the glodls page is there with the download torrent link. Just click on the link and do what you would normally do with torrents.
Make sure you read the instructions for the KeyGen.

I am on Win10 too and always use this site with no problems..............except for when you click on the link and it opens a new website. Just close that site and use the glodls page again

A real pain this is. I do know how to normally uninstall and have followed all the steps to get rid of TinyCAD/Software Informer but nothing works. When going to Control panel and uninstall there is no TinyCAD or Software Informer yet I still have folders and files in the location I saved to and no they cannot be manually deleted from that location, Every time I try it states "in use by another application" even if I have nothing open.

I am having the same issue with AutoCAD 2017 which I downloaded and could not get to work, I uninstalled using Control panel yet the AutoCAD and Autodesk folder and some files remain, plus they show up on the start menu. I am using Windows 10, Microsoft Edge and Office 2016 and I am reluctant to download anything else until I can get rid of these. Grrrrrr Computers :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

No, it's not the correct web site. The folks that maintain Tinycad do so on sourceforge. Anyone else who has it for download most likely has an agenda, be it eyeballs for their ads or sneak installations of adware or malware.

Rollback to the last restore point created before installing TinyCAD. In Win 7 it's called 'Recovery', accessed from the Control Panel. Windows automatically creates one before (almost) any software install. No idea about Win 10.
