I have a wife and a child and I don't view them as "Thais" but instead as my wife and child for whom I must provide. Maybe silly of me but thats just the way I feel. Also, it was not me who bought the land and built the house but rather my wife and I together. We both worked for it.

ps was anyone else around when the funeral was being held in the village in September? It was the first time I've seen a Thai funeral - for my naive western eyes it was just extraordinary.

Let you all into a little secret... About 18 months ago, the dog center was due to relocate to Bo Fai, but it fell through. I think this thread might have had a distinctly different tone if those plans had gone ahead...
