Investing in HH property

Post by foreignfilm »

Hi,

I'm Thai and now looking to move out of BKK. Is it a good investment to buy property and rent out in HH? What is the ROI (in %). What is the type of property for rent that would give highest returns?

Thanks

Everyone will give you the same answer. If you're serious, come to Hua Hin and do the homework yourself. It's the only way to understand the market.

there are lots of objects on the market, but to get hold of really good units, you need patience and luck.

if new projects get announced, you have to be the first one.

if somebody sells a top unit, you have to be registered at real estate agents for that call.

and so on.

I drove the coast up and down, was looking for two years for a unit and finally find the one I'm more than happy with.

if you're looking for pure returns, it is even more important to go for top convenience of a unit and top value.

as said, there is a lot of stuff in the market these days. not easy to distinguish in many cases what has value and what not.

Everyone is right about doing your homework. Returns of between 10 & 12 % rental income should be achievable in addition to similar capital appreciation for the right units.
Remember that your buying criteria is going to be different if you are buying for rental income and your own personal likes and dislikes are probably irrelevant. [ Edited by Admin ]
