Where to donate old clothes?

Post by phartley58 »

Hi folks,

Can anyone give me a heads up on where, or who to give clothes to? "Her indoors" and I are having a clear out and most of the stuff is far too good to stick in the bin so we were wondering where or who we could donate them to? It would have been the charity shop back in the UK.

And before anyone asks, we don't want a bean for them, just to donate them where they would be most needed and appreciated.
If it aint broke, don't fix it...

There is a second hand shop on the Right, past Sea pines Golf club on the way to Pranbury. They have clothes and other stuff I'm sure they would have them. Any money made could then be donated to the charity of your choice.

When my father died, all his clothes, bedding and personal effects were given to the Temple, they distributed them to the local poor I believe.

If you would like to donate to the Pala U refugee camps or the orphanage you can send me a pm as I collect for Jungle Aid. Clothes are sorted and either given directly to the villagers or orphans on one of the regular visits or we hold sales of anything left over that is unsuitable for them. The money raised is used to purchase medicine, rice and other supplies.

The Power of Love International Christian Church on Soi 88 in Bon Gai distributes donated clothing to poor Thais. My missus gives her "old" (some probably worn once or twice!) clothing to them.

Phone numbers: 080 999 3603 (English) and 092 592 3604 (Thai)

From their Facebook page (I think the phone number is wrong on this page as my wife used the one above):

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
