Was the above remark aimed at me....?
You stated that you did not want a retirement visa as you wanted to learn Thai.....
I was asking the forum..... If there was a reason you / anybody could not learn Thai if on a retirement visa....
It was a serious question.... Thats why I said " serious question "......

I'm sure you can read between the lines.
The OP, probably, doesn't have sufficient funds for a retirement visa and wants to stay here on the cheap.
The next post from the OP will, probably, be a vehement denial of being potless.
OP, there's an outfit in Cha-Am who, I understand, are very informative.

Re: Age limit for eduction visa?
Ok lets clear this up.
Firstly a big thanks to nanyan for pointing out to me that 49 is old (assuming op means old person) and also that im skint.
But anyway on a more serious note aplologies to sandman for coming across a bit abrupt. The reason i was asking about age limit is that i dont turn 50 until next nov but am arriving in jan and though a study visa would be a good idea for the first year. and then switch to a retirement visa in 2015.
I just wanted to know if there were any age restrictions on an ed visa.

OP means Opening Poster. I'm sure that's what Nanyang was referring to. It's easier than having to type 't1ggyw1ggy10 '

Bapak (forum member) from here should be able to answer your question, but I don't think there are age restrictions:

Re: Age limit for eduction visa?
I've just had a look at one Thai language school site and according to them it's open to anyone over the age of 12.This may be a stupid question but is there an age limit for an education visa....
Re: Age limit for eduction visa?
I have been going to thai classes for over a year and do not have an ed visa, there is no problem at all
Re: Age limit for eduction visa?
Unless the original post is about wanting to be able to OBTAIN an Ed visa...joelle wrote:I have been going to thai classes for over a year and do not have an ed visa, there is no problem at all
Re: Age limit for eduction visa?
No age limit. Except for Ed Visa. Parent consent required under 18years
