The Boat restaurant

Re: The Boat restaurant
Even if the Market is not on the map it is too big to miss so if you see the market then you need to turn around and Boat is immediately on your left!!!! The map is only a rough guide to start with! It would seem some people need to be spoon fed!
Re: The Boat restaurant
That's right - the Market is where the map shows Boat - Boat is very close but one Soi earliermoja wrote:The Map above is about right but Boat restaurant is not quite as far up the road as indicated - it is before the Market on the right hand side.

You're absolutely right. The first time we met the owners was when our oldest daughter had just been born. We never ended up going back for more than a year, and when we did, I was amazed that they remembered us and greeted us like old friends. I really felt sorry for them when they were forced to give up their last place, but from what I can see, they're actually doing better in their new venue.
A real "what you see is what you get" kind of place they run.

Echo all of the above.
The Boat is always my first stop when I go to Hua Hin and was my 'local' when I lived there. Such a nice family and a good laugh.

To the left of the market in the map above one finds the famous aftermarket.

It would have been so much more helpful if your map showed the restaurant, Farang.
This is the way

It's pretty bl...dy obvious to me reading all the posts exactly where Boat is - it doesn't need an Einstein mind to find it!
To add to all the effusive praise about the owners (with which I concur) don't forget the cook, Arm (I don't know if that's how he spells it). He runs the whole place from early in the morning till late at night. His English is excellent, his cooking is better! He also finds the time to chat to his customers. Without him Boat would struggle, nice as Tom & Jee are.

Agreed. He is also a handy bloke to know if you have a problem with/question about a motorbike. He'll steer you in the right direction most times. To add to all the effusive praise about the owners (with which I concur) don't forget the cook, Arm (I don't know if that's how he spells it).
