You must be joking. Here's a photo of how it was returned to me:moja wrote:Did Ford not clean it for you? Everytime we take our car to Honda even for the slightest thing it comes back fully washed and valeted! Even the tyres look brand new!
I did get a complimentary coffee out of them - I can't expect too much. I hope you can pick out the filth on the bodywork. The step into the cab has enough mud trapped, you could plant things. The car was only cleaned a couple of days ago.
This blue is a very pretty colour, but a big mistake - it shows the dirt very easily. Will publish some shiny photos - probably later today.

In your spare time put a coat of Nu Finish on it. Should be able to find it in Lotus (light orange colored plastic bottle), but a bit expensive. I recall 1,200-1,400. One bottle will last you a few years as you only need to do it once a year, or every 6 months if obsessed. Great protection and the dirt comes off easily when washing needed. Pete

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
I do keep my baby clean (normally). I only let it go this time knowing that it was going back into the garage. I already use a good cleaning agent, and put a protecting coat on it weekly - it is usually so shiny, it must be a hazard to other road users
Regardless, this blue does not stay clean very long on Thailand's dirty roads. IMHO, it is so dry over here that sand (it's too dry to be called soil) blows onto the roads. As soon as there is a slight shower, the car becomes caked in sand. Other vehicles have the same problem, but it doesn't show so much.

Black is even worse. That's what I have now and have simply stopped washing it during the rainy season. Wife's car is white and never looks dirty. Pete

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
That's true Moja. I've never experienced dealers even in the West who take as much care as Honda does here. The other manufacturers hopefully are spying on them and learning from them. Toyota here is a close second, but second. I've given up going to Mitsu and probably voided my 5 year warranty. I simply don't care as totally fed up. Last time they charged for changing the oil and didn't change a thing. Got all kinds of "sorry..sorry...sorry...confusion in the shop today blah, blah..." Total BS, they cheated pure and simple. Even if I don't like a Honda model as #1 choice, I'll probably buy one again in the future anyway simply for the peace of mind and service. Petemoja wrote:Did Ford not clean it for you? Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
Not only does Honda wash the car but there is a lounge for anyone waiting which provides hot and cold drinks along with biscuits and free internet! When we first moved here we had planned to buy a Ford but the initial service was so bad we walked out! Our car is grey and that still shows the dirt but I have to say the blue car we had in the UK was the worst colour we ever had for showing dust and dirt. You car looks good all freshly washed.

Without doubt in the Thai climate & conditions white is the best.prcscct wrote:Black is even worse. That's what I have now and have simply stopped washing it during the rainy season. Wife's car is white and never looks dirty. Pete
It's proven to keep a car up to 10 deg C cooler than the equivalent model in Black.
Unfortunately when we bought our Civic, white was not an option.
I've said it before, I love Hondas, and the service is great.
One beef - If you are buying a new Honda these days, you get charged an extra THB10,000 if you want it white. Are they racialist or what?

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
HH Ford must be the worst dearlship ever for returning your car dirty! I've pointed out to them dirty fingerprints all over doors and windows, & rubbish left in the passenger footwell when my car has been returned to me.. I will not (by choice) be taking my Ranger to them again for servicing..(I'm lucky enuf to have an older model that can be serviced without having to be plugged into any diagnostic doo-dahs)...
Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
May have posted this elsewhere before but....FYI Honda has a pick up truck also....but not sold here. Pete
