Yes, I give them tips if they come and give my back a rub. After a long day at work, sitting on a bar stool with a cold beer chatting with your friends, and having a pretty thing rubbing your shoulders, they deserve a little something. Many are ex-massage girls with a real feel for tired muscles.
Okay, so I'm married. Do they know? Yes, I tell them so. Would I go with them? On very rare occasions. Some of my friends more often. We give them what they ask within reason. Since it is a cash transaction, you don't get loaded with emotional baggage. And as always, with safety precautions so it doesn't come back and bite you, and not because you're less of a man if you don't.

I just do not like to see people put down because of the nature of their jobs. Many of them work hard at day jobs and supplement their income in the evenings, judging from the fact that not all of them have soft hands.
And the fact that I've seen many persons in 'respectable' jobs who have the manners and morals of a cockroach and who do not deserve what they're being paid.
So you pay for a service. It doesn't feel like that sometimes. Just part with your money and enjoy the company.

Nicely encapsulated ! Our Finnish friend obviously has his own "hang-up" viz: he won't pay for nookie... I know a few like him - it's their problem, why should the rest of us get aerated ? I took a similar stance when I was younger, not on principle, just 'cos I had no money !!! Now I have learned to have full respect for the girls with whom I enjoy "la vie en rose" and contary to misinformed opinion, they are usually rather courageous, honest and mature. Perhaps that's what the Suomi man can't handle...

Study a bit more and you will find that Zen(which you say you have interest in according to your profile) is fundementally different to Theravada Buddhism practiced here in the temples. Add a healthy dollop of Animism and you start getting a basic idea of what the lay people practice.
Comparing Zen here would be like you trying to explain your girly beliefs to most of us here in Finnish !

alleykat: I spent some time in a village off Ubon Ratchathani. I lived with a family, ate with them, slept in the same house. I saw what time they got up, how they worked in the fields and what kind of life that is. The only TV they had, which, by the fucking way, was the only "luxury" they had, (and as such they considered it) had been bought for them by the girl I had travelled there with (one of their 2 daughters, met in Pattaya).
