Importing Household Items

Post by PET »

I have been unable to find anyone to clarify my question -
If one arrives in Thailand with an O multi entry visa valid for one year, and after arrival obtains a retirement visa, does the six month validity period for importing the items commence when you enter with the O visa or after obtaining the Retirement visa. I could go overseas again before getting the retirement visa so would the time start from that second entry date?

As I understand, it starts from the date you enter Thailand on the Non Imm O visa. remember you can only import tax free once.
Has to be done within 6 months but can be extended in certain circumstances (? how much you want to pay to offiicial)

Sorry, do you mean the date of the Im O Visa issued in UK or the retirement visa that will be issued in Thailand. PET
