Thanks, if it doesn’t come off I’ll do the refusal of extension thing.
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!

If (as suggested by hhinner) you apply for a second 30-day extension, have it refused and are given 7 days to leave the country you don't get a 'black mark' against your name as it will have been done within the rules, as far as I understand it.

You do get a big "extension refused" stamp that says you need to leave in 7 days. I think he worries about that for some reason.

I have a bunch of 1-4 days overstay stamps and an extension refused stamp. Never had a single problem or question, including when upgrading to a different visa type.

Thanks folks for your advice......I’ll go with the refusal route. I’ll post if it works out OK. Can this be done at Blueport?

Yes, that's my understanding also - that the 'extension refused' stamp does not have any negative repercussions.
