I'm not sure it's anything to do with Interpol. The Thai police will give you certification that you have no criminal record in Thailand, but I think you have to go to Bangkok. I'll PM you the contact details of someone who I think has done this.
This is the way

Do you still have any connection with an address in the UK? I have to get these disclosure letters to be able to work at airports in Europe and I still always get them from the UK without any problem despite not having lived there for many years and being non-resident for tax purposes. I still have a bank account and driving license at my Mothers address and that seems to be enough. ( To be honest, I don't think one from Thailand would be accepted anyway! )
If you've got a UK driving license it must have an address on it even if you don't live there, apply using that address and get it sent directly to an employer.

Thanks guys I have some questions

SteveG - I still have a UK address and driving license, where and how do I apply, can it be done on line, and how long did it take to get. It is not practical for me to go to the UK.

Barrys - How long did it take to get the Thai clearance

Thanks in advance for all of your help

Damn nothing is ever easy. I have found the ACRO web site for the UK, not so easy as I must provide proof of the UK address within the last six months, I don't have anything with this, as such I do cannot proceed.

I need Police clearance certification for my work with children in Europe and it is easily obtained at the one stop centre at The Royal Thai Police Special Branch in Bangkok, the service is free and they will send to your address usually in one week.

I apply online to Disclosures Scotland, it's quicker than the English one but is still a UK criminal record check. For the proof of address I just used an online statement that had the address on it. They're pretty efficient, you send everything as an email attachment, pay 25GBP and they send the certificate within 14 days. If you fill in the right part, they'll send it to a company in the UK:

I will do it through Thai Police in Bangkok only 100Baht and 30 days to process and post to my home. I looked into the Scottish process and I need 3 forms of ID which show my address, I can't get this cost, GBP25. Looked into ACRO English police, 2 forms of ID cost GBP45.

But one has to love Thailand, I think they sometimes do stuff just to make us laugh. The following is the web site for obtaining forms

Actually, I just email a scan of my passport, driving licence and an online bank statement with my address, I don't think you have any problem if you're a normal British citizen, we have to get them every two years and I've never heard of anyone being refused.

Steve- I went through the Scottish process a month ago, paid the 25 quid by credit card, used my UK driving license and passport for ID. I used my sister's address, but never quoted utility bills etc. I received a clean report in about a week.

Well I made my choice and paid the price. I went to Bangkok police, I phoned first and asked what was needed to take with me, I had my wife phone also to make sure I was right. We did as instructed. Went through the process until we got to desk 5, there Thai corruption came out in all it's glory. I was told I must have my employment contract, I advised I do not have as I was not told to bring this, I was then asked do I have my old passports with me, no why should I. It went on and on then the police office said give me 3,000baht and I can fix everything if not go home and bring what I asked for.
As it would have cost more to return and go back again, plus more lost time I paid the bribe.

This is what often makes me hate Thailand
