Thai Mail, DHL & Sub-contractors! -MY FOOT!

Post by MajorBloodnok »

Hello,

the only problem I have had with Thai Mail in the past four years has been that
they failed to notify me that they were holding a parcel that allegedly could
not be delivered. I feared the parcel might have been lost, but the British
seller was able to track the parcel's itinerary to Hua Hin, and the Hua Hin Central Post Office
told me the parcel was at the Airport Post Office waiting to be collected.
Obviously I should have received some kind of notification.

But now the sad ditty of DHL & their incompetent sub-contractors! :cuss:
At the same time I had ordered another item from the US.
Again fearing that the overdue parcel might have been lost, I complained
to the American supplier. He told me that the parcel was on hold at
DHL Bangkok. Again I had not been notified.
Obviously if the Thai fail to reach you by
phone, it does not occur to them to send a written notification.
Anyway I was glad the parcel had not been lost, and immediately remitted the
customs duty due for that item.
That was on the 31st January!

Until now the incompetent DHL sub-contractors have not been able to deliver
the parcel to our address. :banghead:
Giving them directions per mobile was of no use.
They did eventually find Amara Resort on Soi 94, but were too stupid or lazy
or both to locate our house 200 yards from Amara Resort!LOL :guns:
Strangely the people from Lazada never had any problems finding us!
Anyway I switched off my mobile, and sent them the road map of Soi 94
with markers.

I doubt they will find us!

Kind regards,

Ditto. I'm going through that now. Two envelopes from the U.S. have been sent to me and returned as undeliverable. I now have the tracking number and have been following the progress of the envelope. when it gets to Bangkok my wife will call DHL, give them the tracking number and her phone number and hopefully that will get the envelope here. Ah, the 3rd world and it many delights.

Hello. :)

I am fast losing my patience. :guns:

I have told them if they do not deliver the parcel by Saturday
night, they are to re-imburse the Customs Duty & return the
parcel to the USA. :cuss:

This is my first negative experience in four years. :banghead:

But the sun keeps on shining! :D

Good afternoon/evening everyone!

Hello everyone, :)

my threat has had the desired effect. :D

DHL head office in Bangkok obviously woke up,
and kicked some butt in Hua Hin. :thumb:

The parcel was delivered today at 1535 hrs!

Unlike myself I DID NOT SMILE WHEN THE COURIER
DELIVERED THE PARCEL! :guns:

Anyway FARANGS DO NOT USE the N I M Courier Service ever!
They are incompetent, lazy and do not understand the most
simple instructions in English! And cannot read maps either! :banghead:

ALL's WELL THAT ENDS WELL! (almost)

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Kind regards,
