I reckon they are saying, "I can't be bothered / I'd like to return to filing my nails / Can't you see I was busy talking to my workmates."chopsticks wrote:Perhaps when they say 'Sorry, no have' they are trying to say 'Sorry, (I) (do) no(t) have (enough product knowledge to assist you...) '
On several occasions we have gone to Home Pro (which I call No Have) only to be told by a member of staff that the item we need is out of stock. Then I note the stock number and look up above to where the unpacked boxes are, and lo and behold there is a box full of them. I just love their loss of face.
Once we were looking at replacing the lock on our main door. One teenage boy steered us away from the one we were looking at because it was for "Houses over 12 million" .... his words. My wife was absolutely mortified, I just shook my head and walked away.
If you want to see overstaffing taken to ridiculous levels then Global just outside Sakhon Nakon will trump anybody.
Luckily in No Have, Thai Watsadu and Global there are always a couple of keen workers should you need any help. You've just got to find them.
A fool and his money are soon partying!
