Cruise Ships out of Bangkok

Post by Nereus »

Anybody done any of the cruises out of Bangkok? Probably not well known, but just about every week there is a cruise ship berthed in Bangkok. The bigger ones have to use Lam Chabang, but the following is berthed at Klong Toey today.

Looked at some, and a client did a cruise in Myanmar, but haven't gone on one here yet.

Been on some around Mexico and the Caribbean. Easy to relax and pig out on one. When working it was a nice way to enforce relaxing (turn off phone and email) but did get a little bored if they didn't stop much, not into the onboard games.

The lines you show look nice!

Wow. Can't afford 300k Baht on a 3 week cruise for two (plus tips, presents and kennel fees), but a week might be nice. Booze, food and a Kindle. Works for me (actually thinking about it, that describes my life!). :D

When living in Penang checked the ones that leave from there and Singapore but they were all way down in the dump (read $h!t) comparing to the ones on the US west coast and Carribean - very basic food unless you eat in the optional dinning rooms and cafeterias at extra cost plus many of the activities that are included in the US cruises were extra money too or did not exist. Asia people's demands are not high as they have not yet been evposed to the good ones

I have only cruised into Lam Chabang then bus to Bangkok. This Princess Lines ship was then heading back to Beijing. This port is only for monster ships and quick turnaround. Smaller and therefore usually more expensive ships dock at Klong Toey. I have flown to Singapore and Hong Kong to join cruises, a much better option than Lam Chabang. the ship featured on 'https://cruiseweb.com/cruise-lines/ocea ... k-Thailand' appears to be a re-positioning cruise with the ship returning to the Mediterranean for the summer cruising season.
