Taxi from bus station in the early hours?

Post by MLS »

My house guest's offspring will arrive from Krabi at the bus station - presumably the one near Bluport where they left HH from a few days ago - at around 02.00 Friday morning and will need transport to Soi 156. How likely are they to grab a taxi or tuk tuk there in the early hours? I'll be unable to pick them up as I've got a dinner (= multiple drinks) to go to tomorrow night but I want to make sure they get here, so would appreciate any intel on the likelihood of them making their own way here. Ta!

How about asking the driver to stop at soi 156? Perhaps arrange for this when boarding in Krabi. Normally this can be done as long as they don't have baggage in the hold.

I've been there to pick several people through the night. There is rarely any more than a couple of motorbike taxis on duty.

hhinner's solution makes a lot of sense.

The best and safest is to book a taxi to pick them up at the time the bus arrives at bus station, that's what I would do, saves dragging luggage around.

That was my first thought, johnjar - unfortunately my regular taxi guy isn't up for working at that time in the morning and I don't know any other who would be :(
