Wat Arun renovation finished

Post by PeteC »

This is one monument in Thailand that has never failed to impress me over the years. I've visited it dozens of times and seen it in good, and very bad condition. As you'll see in the below article there is some controversy about the recently completed renovation which took 2-3 years, but I would think just the normal whiners that always surface.

Regardless, if anyone visits now that it's finished, please photograph and give your opinion. Pete

EDIT: Just checked and it's been closed for almost four years, since late September 2013.
