Photos: New Year beach getaway

Fed up with crowds and parties this year so decided to take the family on an old fashioned camping trip to a secluded little beach in Chumphon province to see in 2017. We loaded up the truck with supplies, kayak, paddle board, tents, barbecue, fishing rods and hit the road ...

Is that little blue roof bungalow a rental for those who don't want to rough it in a tent? :D Pete :cheers:

Yep, the bungalows were 500 baht so we just rented them to stop anyone else turning up on "our" beach. :mrgreen:

The sea looks rough. Swimming might have been an effort.
Love the waves bashing off the cliffs. Reminds me of Cornwall or The Outer Hebrides. Just a bit warmer!!

Very nice indeed! Did you stay one night or longer?
No wifi or internet... must have been tough, especially for the juniors :)

Stayed two nights. No wifi/phone was the whole point of it!!
