3,4 or 5 day trip

Post by jamborab »

I will be in Hua Hin from 9th Dec- 8th Jan and was looking for suggestions for a trip somewhere else whether it be in country or in maybe Burma, Cambodia, Laos or Vietnam.
All suggestions appreciated.

I'd recommend a trip to Viet Nam and/or Cambodia. 3 to 5 days and easy providing you fly

You can fly from HH to KL so Malaysia maybe an option.

North Sumatra is also worth a visit, Air Asia flies direct to Medan, then Lake Toba or the Bukit Lawang Orangutang sanctuary is only a few hours ride away.

For an in-country visit, and summing you have not been before then the Chang Mai area would offer quite a change of scenery?

:agree: I agree with Chiang Mai. My wife and I had two of our better holidays in that area and plan to go back soon, but we need to know more about where you've already been to make good suggestions for you.

I have had a couple of nice stays in Chiang Rai. Nice little city.
  • Wat Rong Khun / The White Temple
  • The Golden Triangle
  • Suwannee Thai Cooking Class
  • As everywhere else in Thailand a lot of temples
  • Hill tribes and arranged trips with sleepovers in the villages

I have had a few days in Bangkok, worked in Saigon for a year and worked in Batam, Indonesia and Singapore.

Hi Buksida
How would I get from Medan to the Orangutang sanctuary. Can you really go from HH to KL?

HH to KL: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=21913

Medan to BL: http://tobatransporter.com/

Recently used Toba Transporter to get to and from Berastagi, good service.

Ongoing Indo trip report here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25009
