Don Meung Transfer to Hua Hin

Post by cgm1 » Mon Jan 02, 2017 5:19 pm

Myself and my partner are arriving at Don Meung Airport 11.05am on the 9th January..
Looking for a shared transfer to Hua Hin or the best economical way ??
Last time took the minivan to Suvarnabhumi and then the express coach..
Any suggestions welcome..
Thanks Chris

There is a minivan if you want to risk life on one, topic is here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24212&start=18

the VIP bus to HH leaves BKK around 14:30, I think. cheap and slightly more safe than a mini van.

or take the train that links Don Meung to the Bangkok train station or Bang Sue station and take the train to Hua Hin.
cost more than the bus. But much safer than mini vans. takes about 4 hours.

just depends on how wiped out you are after your flight.

Fastest and cheapest (not safest):

Follow the bus signs in Don Muang and take bus A1 (30 baht, 15-30 minutes) to Mochit Bus Station (it's the last stop, do not get off at Mochit BTS). Walk into the station and right in front of you there will be a ticket booth for "Central Thailand". Ask for a ticket to Hua Hin (minibus, 180 baht, 2.5-3.5 hours) and wait to be called.

If you're feeling confident, go through the station and out to the parking area and find the Hua Hin bound minibus yourself (AFAIR, it's parked on the left at the 4th or 5th row in), this will allow you to get better seats but the price will remain the same.

Both the train and VIP bus are safer, but more expensive and much slower.
