Hua Hin Airport
Hua Hin Airport
What has become of the Hua Hin airport? Wasn't it going to, eventually, be an International Airport? I heard a rumor years ago that there would never be regularly traffic due to it's close proximity to the Royal Palace. Why on earth did they spend all that money?
I'm guessing SG are still doing a couple trips per day with that 12-seater Cesna.

Yeah JG,
I would selfishly agree. I hate the traffic and lack of parking downtown, but I am retired and on a pension. The hotel, bar, and restaurant owners would like to see more visitors here, I'm sure, so making Hua Hin more accessible via the airport would probably help them and be a welcome addition.

Hi,
i think the HH to Pattaya flights have been looked at in the past.
The Cessna Caravan that flies to BKK has a limit on how far offshore it can travel in a public transport role. I think the distance is 50 nautical miles. A direct flight to Pattaya is just over that distance.
An option would be another aircraft type or to follow the contour of the coastline north.
