Golf membership in Hua Hin

Moving across to Hua Hin next July / Aug, I'm an avid golfer and will possibly look at joining a GC. Someone told me that the golf societies which are active in Hua Hin are better value, better fun and one would make more friends in a society rather than a GC, any advice ? Should I go down the society route for a while first ? Any contacts for the societies who I can get in touch with ?

It's good to have a membership and join a society, there is a Springfield for sale on here, it's a good deal. I paid 390k 7 years ago. Many groups out there. True Blue is a good group, if u ask in king bar u will get a contact. Several groups play at lake view, drop by Berny's bar also..U will meet some good people. Sansuk, butterfly rock other groups in town. Happy playing
