We understand it is going ahead but Black Mountain and Banyan will not be participating. We believe the green fees at participating courses will be Baht 999.

okay explain to me why the royal is going to offer you a special price of 999 baht. When they already have a 800 baht Wednesdays. & Friday price through Oct. According to Sawang's web site it's 600 during the week and 800 on weekends.

It's a promotional event under TAT and it's not practical to start advertising different prices. When Banyan joined in, it was officially 800Baht but they tacked in the cart/caddy fee to get what they wanted. In Chiang Mai the same things happen. The courses can decide to charge the advertised fee or go with the promotion they already have. Black Mountain discounted their fees to 1500baht last year but couldn't be part of the festival advertising because their pricing was off.

Royal might stick with their special rate on Wednesday and Friday or might just harmonize to 999 all week. It's really up to them but it's beneficial to be part of the festival advertising campaign. I wouldn't bother playing there when you can play a properly maintained course like Sea Pines or Springfield at the same price...

To confirm that Majestic Creek will be participating in the Golf Festival. The rate agreed for all courses is 999 bht, plus caddie fee. Buggies will be extra, but can be shared at Majestic.

We will still offer good deals for the low season, currently 1500 bht for green fee, caddie fee and buggy.

Next month we will go to 1650 bht for the same package, and the course is now in superb condition.

With A and B open, we are renovating C course, which will be open for the high season later this year.

Just a question.
It can be argued that June is more low season than May so why the increase for next month?
It is of course your prerogative to charge what you like but it seems a strange decision.

The rates for the Songkran Festival and the KVIK festival were substantially reduced package prices, whilst many of the residents, who are members, returned back to Europe for their regular breaks.

The mid-June time seems to be when most of the members come back to Hua Hin.

The package, which included green fee, caddie fee and buggy represented a very large reduction on the normal tariff. Whilst we have now increased this a small amount for June, it is still a great deal and gives people who have not played Majestic since the major refurbishment, a chance to try the course and see how much it has improved.

We will still do our regular thursday competitions, which are open to visitors, and we are planning a number of big tournaments for the rest of the year.

June is the beginning of 'summer' in Europe so I doubt that there is a surge of members returning to Thailand from June.

As for the Antipodeans, I don't know how inclement their winters are.

Whatever, you cannot justify a 10% increase - in my humble opinion.

I am sure that 99% will still pay 1650 baht... everyone seems to be enjoying the course so 150 baht when prices compared is still a good deal, especially when they have beer deals on etc!
