A friend in Chiang Mai is boasting on Facebook about the service when he takes his car into a Toyota service centre for a service. Amongst the benefits for waiting, he's listed with photos:
- Free breakfast served between 08:30 and 11:30
- Free lunch from 11:30
- Movie room with sofas
- Relaxation room with beds
- Internet room with computers
Now, that's a hell of a lot more than I get from Ford when my car is serviced. I was wondering if this Toyota service is standard throughout Thailand, or peculiar to Chiang Mai. Pretty impressive, whatever,

Re: Toyota Service
When we did our first service (3,000 km?) in Petchaburi the waiting room had plush chairs and sofas. Food was offered, dim sum, mama noodles, chao su bao, sodas. They had internet terminals and I do believe a large TV set on a Thai channel. The food, and drink, was served by a lovely.
When we did our 10,000 in Bang Saphan, it was a comfortable room, drinks (with service) and internet, but no food offered. There was mama noodles on a tray so perhaps self service as opposed to being prepared for you in Petch

Still a lot more than I get from the Ford dealer. A lot of people have told me that Honda are even better, so I wonder what they offer

Re: Toyota Service
I forgot, when we went in for the 10,000 service some of the staff came in with a big sign saying happy birthday to my wife (her birthday was near) and called her to the front. They took a picture of her with the sign and gave her a toyota pillow. She was impressedBig Boy wrote:Still a lot more than I get from the Ford dealer. Re: Toyota Service
My next car will be according lunch while servicing.
Re: Toyota Service
For the price Toyota charge they should provide a lot of extras.
I was in Ford Hua Hin today to get a small bluetooth issue fixed with our Ford Ranger.
Comfortable chairs, A/C, coffee machine/biscuits/lollies, TV/Wifi enough for me.
Great little Thai shop next door which did an excellent lunch!!

Re: Toyota Service
I worry more about how good a service my car or truck is getting hence driving to Toyota Cha am (North of the railway line) after less than impressive maintenance by Toyota Hua Hin. Wifi, noodles and TV etc still available there too though.
