Toyota Hua Hin

Post by Houdi »

Hi,

Wanted to make people aware of this issue with Toyota Hua Hin.

This was posted in Hua Hin Buy and Sale so it is in the public domain already.

I have not included the name of the person involved but you can make contact with her if necessary via the above site.

Here is the original post.

[Admin edit: post removed, copy pasting something from facebook that could get this local forum sued for defamation and loss of business is inappropriate. Personal experiences backed up with solid evidence however is acceptable.]

Here is the link to the post in facebook for those interested:

Posting a link does not get you sued for defamation.

On a slight tangent, I would appreciate any advice on "money upfront". We will be selling our car next year and had decided to sell it back to the dealer mainly because we have been told that most second handguys dont pay you the agreed price until they sell the vehicle. Does this mean dealers work the same system?

Thank you Moater for finding and posting the link. I hope that people take a look.

I was only trying to draw attention to what seemed like a scam that had affected 12 local people and for which (apparently) a person had spent some time in jail and was now freed on bail.

There has, of course, been no publicity about this which is probably no surprise to any of us.

Nevertheless we have to find a way to inform users of the Forum about potential risks. I have seen many posts about issues in shops and restaurants and always try and avoid those places.

I will try and find a more appropriate way of drawing the Forum readers attention to important issues in the future but let's not stray too far down the route of political correctness. Those of us who live in Hua Hin or visit here have a right to know about potential problems. If not on the Forum, then where ???

We totally agree with you and encourage the sharing of personal experiences around Hua Hin, however copy pasting someone elses unsubstantiated posts from facebook was not really appropriate.
