Carrying Water Tanks

Mark my words: the carrying of water tanks like this will lead to more accidents. It does not even need a great deal of speed to cause the water to shift violently in such a tank. 1,000 litres of fresh water weighs 1,000 Kg, and no amount of careful driving will stop it shifting. With the drought only likely to get worse, more and more people will be forced to do this.

Sadly Nereus, this advice will never be heeded here. You only have to look at the way vehicles are constantly overloaded to realise how much stupidity there is on the roads.

As you rightly say 1,000 litres of water weigh 1 TON. It's bloody heavy and can do massive damage.

NEVER underestimate the power / weight of water.
