Hi Folks,
I know this has probably been "forumed" to death but after a search, I still can't find what I want.
Has anyone got a link or current information on exactly what I need to do to renew both my car and bike licences from 1 year to 5 years. And if you could include in the info exactly how many copies of everything they require at DLT Pranburi.
Much appreciated.

Re: 1 to 5 Year Driving Licence Renewal
Ok Folks,
Here's my experience of renewing my 2 licences from 1 to 5 years at DLT Pranburi a little over 3 hours ago. I may possibly have just set an all time record. (Read to the end). After taking snippets of advice posted on here and a couple of other forums I went armed with the following:-
1. 2 x Residency Certs
2. 2 x Doctors Certs
3. 2 x Renewal Application Forms
4. 2 x Photocopies of said licences
5. 2 x Photocopies of Passport face page, Non-O visa, departure card and last entry stamp
6. Actual Passport
Here's how it went. Arrived at 08.20am, went straight upstairs as the doors were open and made a beeline for Window 10. Waited 10 mins for her to finish with the guy in front of me. Got seen and handed in all the above. She handed me back numbers 3 and 4 saying they were not needed. I signed 2 forms and she asked me to take a seat. 3 mins later I was called forward into the test room along with all the other rabble, took the colour, perception and brake test (this was the longest I was in one place throughout the whole process) and was herded out and went straight back to Window 10. 2 mins later after paying 960 baht she said take a seat again and wait for photo. 5 mins later I was having photo taken, 5 mins after that I was walking away with brand new shiny licences. I LEFT AT 08.55am SO FROM WALKING IN TO LEAVING IT TOOK 35 MINS. RESULT...!!!
I hope the above helps those of you who need to do the same soon! Or at least until they change the rules again...!!!

Beat you! In and out in 20 mins. No tests whatsoever and only had to wait for my mugshot.

Re: 1 to 5 Year Driving Licence Renewal
My original licences were issued using my paper UK licence. My motorbike licence was issued after pointing to the 'Provisional to drive' box. They didn't understand the word. Never did any tests then and I've renewed after 1 year twice now as a 5 year licence. They have never asked me to take any test whatsoever. The last time I renewed, I asked for a shot at the computerised questions. They wouldn't allow me as that was for 'first-timers' and I'd need a card to get into the system. I understand now that there is a practice machine you can use.
Anyway, I've never done any kind of test to date. Don't ask me why ..... I've just never been asked to do one.
