Big Bike Insurance

Post by SydneyGuy »

Just sharing my experience in regards to renewing my big bike insurance on a 2016 Kawasaki Z800
After reaching out to several brokers and insurance companies such as AA in Hua Hin etc, i am happy with a quote for 14,288 baht for first class insurance. Most of the companies were asking between 20,000 and 24,000 Baht to insure my bike for 300,000 baht. Locktons came in at 14,288 Baht and has similar personal/property damage, own damage etc

Anyone have any experiences good or bad to share in regards to Locktons or other bike insurance companies?

Who is the actual insurer? Mine is through AA but as part of the purchase of the bike. The insurer is LMG aka Liberty Mutual.

Where is Locktons located?

I believe Locktons have an office in Silom Rd Bangkok. They are a large global insurance company

The dealer i bought the bike from in Hua Hin Kawasaki MotoAholic were helpful enough to provide a competitive insurance quote for my insurance renewal.

Nice after sales service:)

Hi SydneyGuy,

Also have my Z800 insured with Lockton. Had to use them once so far (after a pick-up decided to take a left turn on the inside lane without signaling) and no problems with Lockton.

Safe riding,
B.
