So what you are saying is that English must be your first language in order for you to be a good teacher? The last time I had a look at a World Map, I seem to recall seeing a number of other countries apart from the UK; USA and etc.

I am new at this forum. I just reply to one post that one parent made. Why do you think it is a joke? Please show me how to remove that post.
Irrespective of whether your post is genuine or not, you do realise that if it is, it amounts to you offering to do work for which you need a work permit and forums like this are regularly monitored, so it's quite likely that an official will have read your post.

Thais don't require work permits, :duck: and the fact that he/she has taught in an American in the US should more or less be proof enough of their competency.

I know that, but when I posted my reply, the only information provided by the op was that she was from the USA.

Anyone homeschooling in hua hin?
We have a 3 and a 6yo who will be homeschooled after xmas.
We are using an australian curriculum, which provides all lesson themes and subjects.
We are also mixing in some montessori activites as well.

I looked into this some years ago. Firstly, you have to apply for a 'homeschooling licence' as per some law passed in 2004. Once accepted, the kids have to be assessed annually and you are entitled to the government subsidies on education. Not a lot of money, but it's there for the taking.
Can't remember why I gave up on the idea. Probably decided that it's not worth the hassle and the kids were doing fine at their Thai school.
