I think there is a lot to do concerning spare time for kids.
Martial Arts, Kung Fu, they can do in Takiab with Klaus or Tekwan Do at the gym at the Grand. Other then that i send mine to the driving range to hit some balls.
The thing is when they finish school it is arround 5 pm and they still have to do their homework. After that they should be given some time on their own to do what they really like to and if this is watching cartoons it should be ok.

classes for 2 year old in Yamsaard

Post by sundest »

Do they have in Yamsaard classes for 2 year old?
Yamsaard didn't reply to my email.

Somtawin answered that they have classes only from 3 year old.

Yamsaard School have a pre kindergarten class for 2 and a half year olds.

Thanks for that loverboy, I didn't know about the Grand. I shall check it out. Unfortunately, Klaus's kids class is on the weekend, rather than a midweek after school thing which is what I'm looking for.
I also agree about their own time, just not cartoons every evening after school.

Do you have anymore info about the Taekwondo in The Grand Hotel. Opening Days/times etc

It would be good to try to organize some football or other teams sports for the kids. Its not just to burn off all that energy but also to teach them how to interact with others. Would any other parents be interested?

Count me in Yabz!
I've got a 7 year old. I live near the Kao Hin Lek Fai viewpoints where alot of the local thai men after work organise 5 a side games. They have small goals and a ball. However, perhaps there's an indoor gym we could hire unless you know of a free spot... there's always the beach I suppose.

Loverboy, I'll check out the Grand later today. Thanks!

Kao Hin Lek Fai sounds good because its fairly near the school.

My boy is a bit younger but he's quite tall for his age and very sportif so he could probably play with older kids.

So.... its a matter of finding a few more kids to make up a team....

What did you have in mind?

Algebra, Quantum mechanics?

At two / three years of age your child should be with you.

What is your reason for 'farming' him/her out at such an early age?

Early socialization is very important. And most children like to be surrounded with other children. They like to play with other children; they like to learn looking like other children doing something. You can’t give all of these by yourself. School and parent care are not excluded each other but completed.

My son went to school (nursery) at 1 year 4 months and he was very happy.

PS: This topic about Yamsaard. If you really wish to talk about this I think we should start a new topic.
