Nothing like consistency eh. The above poster says Sept 29 to Oct 1, and the TAT link says 25 - 27 August.

If it's like previous years, they have a couple of festivals in different locations.

Does it really matter what dates, there are restaurants galore in HH so what extra does this bring to the town.

In fact nothing regarding food. It's a shopping opportunity and having a beer at open air and listening music.

If you want to attend the event I would say that dates are kind of essential. This was on The Nation's website:

Get stuffed in Hua Hin
The Hua Hin Food Festival this Friday to Sunday in Queen’s Park brings together famous restaurants, popular hotels and clubs, setting up booths offering a huge variety of tasty snacks and creative delicacies.

Tuck in while watching the contests – ice sculpture, fruit carving and, of course, cooking – and cultural performances. Learn more from the TAT Prachuap Khiri Khan office at (032) 513 885.

The way I read it is that it's at Queen's Park which is also known as 19 rai. Not the canal road. Plus it states this coming Friday to Sunday (25th - 27th).
That agrees with the TAT website quoted earlier.

I mentioned the 2 billboards at 2 locations, but it's at 19 Rai of course.

I went to this a few years ago and wasn't impressed at all. I didn't bother again until this evening, and wow, it was fantastic.

We tried a couple of places - the Anantsila's Mexican food. I had a Chili Con Carne, which was probably as good as I've ever had My son had a burger and some crab cakes, which he said was excellent. 3 non-alcoholic cocktails and a green tea - incredible value at just 210 Baht. OK, portion sizes were not huge, but adequate.

Next we tried an Indian place that is coming to Takiab soon. A couple of portions of Tandoori Chicken and Nan Bread - 120 Baht. Really tasty.

We had a few other treats including ice cream, Isaan Sausage, Papaya Salad, Crispy Eggs, just to name a few. 4 of us spent under 700 Baht between us, and had plenty to eat, and it was quality food.

I'm already looking forward to next year.
