I love shellfish so I'll definitely make a point of having a look/taste.

I still think, for value for money, the seafood barbecue in Takieb is excellent value. If you can manage 4 large beers then the food is FREE. (Beers and soft drinks are in the price)

More to the point, where exactly is "Sea Food Barbecue" in Takieb?

Assume you mean Khao Takiab but which hotel or restaurant?

Past Cicada then maybe a couple of hundred yards on the right. Open restaurant with white chairs and a drive on the right of it leading to some parking at the back.
399 baht to cook and eat as much seafood (crabs, mussels, prawns, squid etc) plus beer and soft drinks are free (help yourself). There is also fried chicken wings, larb, fried rice, salads and the like to complement the seafood.

You do have just 1 hour and 40 mins to complete your meal which I have found more than adequate. Extra time is charged at a nominal fee.

Very good value for money IMO.

I can vouch for the seafood bbq/buffet place too. I think I managed to get in 6 large Changs, 30 odd chicken wings, a plate of larb and a couple of big squid. All for 399 baht. Sandy The Dog even got a large bag of chicken bones upon my return.

They made no money off me. Dustbins like myself in each chair would put them out of business
