Hua Hin Sand Sculpture Competition - with Photos

Wat Hua Hin on 15 April from 15:00 until 21:00hrs.

I was fortunate enough to view one of these competitions whilst on holiday several years ago. It's truly amazing what these guys can do with a bit of sand. The detail is fantastic.

Or do you mean where was the photo I've used, taken? - No idea, it was the photo used on the original promotional information. Not anywhere that I recognise.

There's an annual sand sculpture exhibition in my home town and usually the sculptures are wonderful. Just google "Lappeenranta hiekkalinna" and go to photos, if you want to see them.

No, the day I saw the competition before, I didn't have my camera with me.

Unfortunately, just after viewing it, there was one of the worst downpours I've ever seen here, with extensive flooding. The competition entries were destroyed before they could be judged. I walked through the temple the next day, and there were only piles of sand to be seen.
