Pickleball in Hua Hin

So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.

Pickleball in Hua Hin

Post by kettlebellrick »

Has the expat community embraced Pickleball yet?

That's the lead in! Would appreciate help with realtor for rental for 3-4 months starting mid July at 20-30000 baht. Thanks-Ric

At first glance I thought it was a Feeding Time topic.

No, the expat community seems to know nothing about it (and presumably cares even less!).
For the unititiated, here is an amusing Google reference to it:

Apparently that sport is almost as old as me and I've never even heard of it; it's been around since 1965.

Pickleball is the best team sport activity I have played in Hua Hin... the people are super nice and you get a good work out..

just youtube pickleball and you will understand..

Or just think of a Giant Ping-Pong table and that is it. Basically you are playing Ping-Pong in a court the size of a badminton court..

Only at palm hills!!!

I thought they called that "tennis". :?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

It looks very similar to Beach Paddleball, AKA Beach Tennis, played on a volleyball court. Also great fun.

I notice the car wash beside @letic on Soi 88 has gone, and is being replaced by a Pickleball facility.
