CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to a comedy of errors by our suppliers, we are sorry, but the new club shirts will not be available as planned on 2 Dec'16.

We have hit delay after delay:

- The initial lead time for basic shirt manufacture increased from 12 to 16 days.

- The screening was initially done using the wrong colour i.e. the screeners used white instead of grey. Repair increased the time by 2 days.

- When the shirts came back from screening, we realised the specially adapted children's sizes had been done wrong e.g. Alex's shirt came back as a 24" chest instead of 30". 6 of the shirts need to be re-manufactured, and then screened again. Fortunately (being Thailand) the manufacturer accepted responsibility and will make us 6 new shirts. That process won't start until tomorrow.

- When we eventually got the remaining shirts to our embroiderer, she had disappeared to Korat for her brother's wedding for a week.

As a result, shirts will be handed out to club members at the first session in the New Year on 6 Jan 17.

We hope they are worth waiting for.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT

NB: Tonight's (7 Apr'17) session will continue as usual.

The club will close after tonight's session, and re-open on Monday 17th Apr'17.

Sensei John has thought hard before coming up with this decision. The reason is that so many students are away during Songkran week, it is unlikely anybody would turn up anyway.

Have a great Songkran celebration, and we'll you on the other side.

Due to Saturday's tournament in Bangkok, training on Friday 28th July has been cancelled, and will take place on Thursday 27th July instead.

We will have a special visitor on Thursday, and hope to persuade him to teach at least part of the lesson. It will be special, so please try to be there.

This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity, and should not be missed.

Thanks for another wonderful year John, and I am sure all your students feel the same way. Last Friday was a great ending to this year's classes, with all the kids passing their assessments and grading.

See you all again in the new year.

It has been an enjoyable year, spoiled by more karate politics towards the end by the Thailand Karate Authorities. Here's a memory of some of the many happy times. I'll try to post a video that will mean a lot to you later today.
