Sabai Jai, here`s something to make you envious.

http://www.lro.com/news.php?sid=378&page=1

I remember pulling the original engine out of the S1, and probably dumping it, and replacing it with one from a S2. So two vehicles scrapped!
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!

I had a long wheel base jobbie when working in Zimbabwe and it was a trojan. covered most of Zim and mainly off road

All the diplomats has flash discoveries and regularly turned em over off road

My old girl saved my daughters lives. They had been up country and were returning to Harare. Got hit in the rear by a 20 ton army vehicle full of drunks. Damage? Dented rear door and all the dashboard dials popped out. Daughters jumped out and dragged the drunk soldier/driver to the police station. The rest had scarpered into the bush.

Mind you I had had an RSJ welded to the front and the rear.

Best dodgem I ever had :D

Tried to take it back to the UK but after my contract it was to be donated to the Government scum :(

All the roofs were made at Motor Panels in Coventry , sadly MPC is no more, gone the same as all British manufacturing.

All the roof panels were made at the MPC press plant , and so was the discovery body panel , along with the rover 1800 sports car and DB9 Aston Martin and Advantage body. I worked there as a maintenance electrician.

I never worked at the Longbridge plant in Birmingham, but did some work at Longbridge Hong Kong.

It was part of the vehicle link sub-project for the new Hong Kong airport.
