Khao Takiab whats the best resaurant bar massage around this area guys

Restaurant: Rom Mai- heading south it is 100-200m past the cicada market on the right side. Kind of tucked away off of the main road. Good prices and food

Bar: Depends on what you like. There are a lot of expat bars in this area, and a few nice Thai bars also.

For expat bars I prefer Sunset Boulevard Bar (well maintained pool table), which is just before the first 7-11 directly across from the temple wat nong gae. TK roadhouse is also good but quite a ways farther down on the right side of the road headed south, just before the road splits.

For the Thai places I would recommend the outdoor bar with live music which is directly beside the cicada market. La Birra is across the street from the cicada market, and has a much larger selection of imported beers than most places I have seen in Hua Hin, but it is more expensive, even for thai beer.

Massage: This is hit or miss. Maybe someone else would have a recommendation, but in my experience it depends heavily on who is working that day, and their personal skills.

takiab is quite big place now near cicada you have wiliawarn a new restaurant which in my opion is fantastic when you get in to takiab village youve got madame greeens seafood on the beach also lets eat. and lord webb bar full of expats when you get further toward takiab beach loads of restaurants including rua rimtarn the sea sea market supartra by the sea bit hit and miss these days the bridge bar and restaurant is good also oasis mainly british bar with good food then on takiab beach you have numerous beach bars and anantasila hotel which is verry good loads of other which i havent mentioned as well. enjoy

Madam Greens - where abouts do you turn left (from Hua Hin) towards the beach. Tried the turning down the side of the seven 11, but could not get onto the beach as the tide was in.

I fully concur with Mafiaminds post re restaurant and bar. For massage right next door to Sunset Boulevard is a small massage shop. Sole proprietor and therefore only masseuse. Name is Rin, very popular need to book and don't expect "extras"

Have to agree with all the above recommendations. Tons bar on the beach south of the mountain is the first bar by the parking area and well worth a visit. Great hosts and a nice mixed crowd of people.

Try Janlerm Restaurant, just SOuth of the Cicada Market. Fabulous food, try the Mamasam! Or try the BBQ, if you can eat that much! Great prices too! It is my first stop when returning.

I'll add a recommendation for Rom Mai as well, it's brilliant, don't know about bars, much of a muchness to me.

If you want a real sports massage, not some bird pulling your pidge, then I recommend the Soi before Market Village as you're coming from Takiab. I think you're actually asking "where can I get cracked off for £20" though.

Papa John's restaurant is classy and rather good.
And the Corner cafe does a good breakfast.
Most of the bars are ok, none stand out for me.

Patcharapat Spa on the main road through Khao Takieb do very good massages, are professional (no extra's) and give different types of massage. I would say the massages I have had there are more like sports massages, which suits me.

I also recommend the dinner on weekend (Friday - Sunday) on the Cicada market.. a lot of different food, appetizers, and desserts. Everything for different tastes.

Vilaiwan (located arrond 250 m right side, before you arrive Cicada Market) is perfect for coffeebreak with delicious cakes and has BBQ (all you can eat) on 1 day p week.. can not remember it was Friday or Saturday.
