I gave up after 4 out of 4 wrong - thought the accents were very poor, and couldn't really hear it properly over the music. I've no idea who talks like that in Edinburgh, unless they asked a visitor.

I got 8/10, but I'm pretty sure there were no Welsh and Brummie options for the 2 I got wrong!
No music for me, perhaps you had an ad open, BB?

I got N. Ireland, East London, Newcastle and I forget the 4th which was a guess. To me those stood out as one's I've heard before, probably on the internet/TV concerning football/rugby/TV shows. Pete

I tried again with a little more success. 7/10, but I got the impression it was the same person trying to reproduce accents, and he wasn't very good at it. Also, the geography of the quiz wasn't that good with e.g. the centre of the Welsh button being in Somerset.

[Edit] No music 2nd time around.

I got 8 correct, but what is an estuary accent, it was a London accent.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

Estuary English is a new one on me.

"What's your accent?"

'Estuary English'

"Where's that then?"

'Dunno'.

Must have had an easy round. 10/10. Some where a bit dubious.

I believe it to be the accents spoken around Essex and Kent towns of the Thames estuary.

For those interested the, British Library has a collection of recordings of hundreds of local accents somewhere in its archives. I stumbled across it once but have not been able to find it since. It is very detailed, for example there are 3 recordings in and around my small area of Dartmouth.

Got 7/10 - but didn't have a second go as East Anglian accents didn't appear :( . I guess the guy couldn't get the Suffolk accent right 'boh' (like any actor who tries and fails). I love regional accents, but I've got a cousin who lives in Chatham (Kent) and speaks strong Estuary. After listening to him (and he talks a lot) for about 30 mins, it starts to grate a bit.

9/10 and like others here, thought some accents were a bit dubious, actually most of them.

The one I got wrong was Lancashire, which sounded more like a Brummie.
