RIP Joe Cocker

Post by richard »

Singer Joe Cocker dies aged 70

Singer Joe Cocker, best known for his cover of the Beatles' With A Little Help From My Friends, dies aged 70.

Another great moves on. Had a coffee with him at 4am in the morning in Manchester Piccadilly along with Dave Berry. Shit, I'm getting old :(

Nope. His best known, until 'you are so beautiful' 8 years later. Most in our age group probably first heard him doing 'Get by' (actually 'with a little help from my friends'). It charted top 10 in europe and oz, well down in the states. It was in the Woodstock film, and the album of the same name was his first gold record.
